these few days polytechnics have been having open houses for the public. i think nanyang polytechnic's open house is the best. oh come on, we had taufiq batisah, jean danker, a vacant affair, plainsunset, young and soo from 987fm and haizad imran. and like the first ever f1 night race, we had the first ever night open house. nanyang polytechnic really knows how to pull some strings to get what they want.first day of open house, thurs 8jan, i was only involved in dikir barat performance. before our performance, i got to catch taufiq batisah. i was on the second floor, on the bridge walkway, watching from above. so taufiq did look at everyone and waved but i am for sure he acknowledged me once, just me. he was looking up, at my direction. so being a nice guy, i raised my hand and did a peace sign. he acknowledged that and he peaced back yaw. and for sure i know he was looking at me because he already took off his sunglasses. okay, i aint a huge taufiq fan, but hey, when can you get a celebrity to acknowledge you. cool stuff. second day of open house i woke up late for kompang performance and missed out on jean danker. oh wells. so i went to school with my cousin, who tagged along to see plainsunset perform, reaching there close to 7pm. a vacant affair was already playing so we just joined in. they were good. but plainsunset was better, though the lead singer pitch was a little off due to him being sick. how did i know he was sick, he told us of course. love the part when a vacant affair members jumpped off the stage during plainsunset's performance and body surfed. but same thing happened, we werent allowed to mosh neither bodysurfing. damn. next event was nyp has talent, a show for students to showcase their talents. once again, shakira won first place, just like she won first in the singing competition, orion 2008. but she deserved to win, her singing was good but her dancing moves were off the charts. hot stuff people. the hosts, young and soo from 987fm, played a few games, and officially, my cousin has the biggest feet. size 13 people, and young went to smell the shoe. crazy dude. and my cousin won a free t-shirt for just having the biggest feet. then haizad imran performed. okay, i have seen him in school before, aint that big hoohah. but damn, he really can sing. he had his band with him, and they were good. so by 930pm, the whole day wrapped up and everyone dispersed. except for me and a few others. my cousin and i took oppurtunities to take pictures with some celebrities. sorry for poor quality, some were taken with leila's camera phone. speaking of leila, you owe me for that gesture which leads to your dreamy photograph with someone, and i am not talking about haizad imran.  farah and i during the first day of open house after our dikir barat performance. she is soo, from the radio station 987fm. look what's she is holding. it is a tissue rose, made and given by me! oh, and that guy on the left is just someone by the name of asyraf, my cousin. anyway, soo's hair was hot pink. damn cool. a more clearer picture of me and soo. we took pictures we mr young from 987fm too. funny fella. and on the right is a girl by the name of leila. and my cousin just loves to his arm around celebrities. he put his arm around haizad imran too. damn. finalist of nyp has talent, afiq. too bad he didnt got into top three. well he did his best. supporters of afiq.and now i have dikir performance later at 11am, reporting time around 8am and i am still awake. i have asked two people for wake up calls, and have set three alarm clocks. if all those couldnt wake me up, sorry guys in advance if i didnt come down. i think i caught a bug. love bug. suckers. cheers. |
